This picture is more for the story than the picture itself. The door handle on our front door stopped working today. What happened is this: Caleb had gone to run a few errands and I was working on stuff at home. I saw him pull up and went to go open the door for him (he was carrying groceries). I realized that our door had been left unlocked so I pulled on the handle to open the door...but it wouldn't open. He, of course, thought I was trying to be funny so he was yelling at me through the door to open it. I finally convinced him (via a phone call) that I was trying to open the door and could not. I had to let him in through the door that opens onto our porch. Fortunately, I was home to let him in...and fortunately we live on the first floor.
Our apartment was quick to send someone to work on it...however, it is still not working quite right.

Ok so the primary reason that my fam came into town was so I could attempt to take some senior pictures for my sister. The studio that everyone uses down in Kingwood is, in my opinion, a total rip off for what you get. Anyway, we ended up taking pictures over two days...and I now have a greater appreciation for people who do this for a living. It is a lot of work! This particular picture just makes me laugh. :)

I wanted to try another recipe from Simple and Delicious....Gyro-style pitas. I got out my veggies for the recipe and this is what I beheld. Only FOCUS alums can truly appreciate (and cringe at) this sight. Needless to say, I had a really hard time eating my pita.

I have been in Bible Study Fellowship this year...it has taken some getting used to. It is definitely more structured than I would prefer. Every week they give out notes that cover the previous week's lesson. I am trying really hard to actually make it through the notes this week, although I can honestly say that as of right now I have still not finished.

So my office/therapy room is connected to one of the special ed rooms. This provides much entertainment throughout the day as some of the kiddos wander into my room when they are supposed to be doing other things. I also get to listen to them singing science songs during my lunch break, which brings me to this picture. They were evidently studying planets for a bit and made these. I thought they were super cute. :)

Ok this is a cop-out picture...but I didn't have any other ideas today. This is the camera that I have used to take the majority of the pictures on this blog. It was a Christmas present from my husband/parents/in-laws. We got a good deal on the white model. This camera also comes in red, navy, black. I am already wanting to look into getting another lens, although I'm not sure we will be able to afford one for a while.
p.s. sorry about all the still-life photos...I apparently need to get out more...

Ok so I don't have a very good sad face...but I wanted a picture to represent the fact that Caleb is not home on Wednesday/Thursday evenings b/c of class. And one or both of us have stuff going on Monday/Tuesday evenings...so we pretty much never see each other. It's a sad thing. Oh and I was messing with the colors on this pic...hence why it looks faded.

I couldn't decide on just one picture for today! My cousin Erin and I went to this hole-in-the-wall Indian restaurant, Sri Maharaja, in Lewisville. It was delicious! And cheap...

Thursday morning...right before leaving for work. It snowed ALL DAY and apparently set a record for most snow in a day for Dallas. We got 11 inches...although it was never cold enough to freeze the roads.

Ok so this was the evening that I thought I was dying. It was so weird....I had a massive headache...and I felt nauseous and threw up...yet I had no fever and the next morning I felt fine.
